TNJ Studio Policies
Registration
Registration papers must be completely filled out including name, age, address, phone number, e-mail address and name of parent or guardian. Competitive dancers and cheerleaders must supply a copy of their birth certificate to have on file. You should notify us of any changes in information promptly. Registration fees and first tuition payment must be paid in full on the day of registration. Registration Fee: $30.00 per student
Tuition Payment
Tuition payments are to be made payable to The Next Jennaration. You may pay with personal check, cash or credit card. There are a total of 9 tuition payments (September-May). No payment in June. A $10.00 late fee will be applied to your tuition if not paid by the 10th of each month. Returned checks will be charges a $30.00 fee. Monthly tuition stays the same regardless of the number of weeks or lessons there are in that month. If for some reason your child cannot continue lessons at the studio the office must be notified or you will continue to be charged.
Hair and Attire
Hair must be secured tightly away from face. If bangs get in your way they must be clipped back for class.
Dancers
All students are required to wear appropriate attire. Ballet students must wear black leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes. hair must be in a bun. Boys must wear athletic shorts, a white t-shirt and black ballet shoes. Other men's ballet attire allowed. All other class style students may wear a leotard and tights or tank tops and booty shorts. Black tap shoes and tan jazz shoes required.
Cheerleaders
All cheerleaders are required to wear appropriate attire. This means shorts and a tank top or t-shirt. Clothing must be tight. No baggy attire allowed due to stunting. Please wear competition shoes.
Parents Observation
Parents will be able to observe the last week of every month for the last 10 minutes of class.
Canceled Classes
You will not be personally notified of cancellation of classes due to bad weather conditions. A message of studio closing will be left on the studio answering machine and on the studio website, along with the rescheduled date/time of make up classes. If schools are closed due to weather or holidays this does not mean that the studio will be closed. You will be notified of holiday closings.
Competitive Students
All Competitive Students must attend auditions/placements at the beginning of the year. If you are unable to make auditions/placements you must schedule a private time with your teacher.
Dancers
All competitive students must take a minimum of 4 team classes. Two of them must be team technique and ballet.
Cheerleaders
All competitive cheerleaders must be on at least one all star team. Crossover teams are available with no additional monthly cost.
Special Classes
Private, semi-private, and trio classes are available to students upon request. You must schedule a time slot for these classes when you register for classes. These classes will not be offered after registration is closed. Limited time slots are available. In order to take special classes students must take the minimum required dance classes. Special small groups will be by invitation only.
Other
You are responsible for all items you bring into the studio. We are not responsible for any dance clothing or shoes. Important valuable personal items must be brought into the dance/cheer rooms while in class (there will be a designated place for these items). No gum, candy, food or water is allowed in the dance/cheer rooms. These items are to be left in the waiting room. Your teacher will allow you time to leave the room for water breaks. Please bring water bottles!
